Epinay School is an outstanding school in South Shields. We cater for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities, aged between 5 and 18 years old. The Governors and Head Teacher of Epinay Business & Enterprise School would like to appoint a driver and an escort to join our staff team.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for transporting children and young people to and from school on a daily basis. Some knowledge of the local area is essential. Drivers will be expected to complete MIDAS training before commencing the contract.
Working pattern will be approximately 7.30am – 9.00am and 3.00pm to 4.30pm. Additional driving / escorting ad hoc hours may be available during the school year.
Applicants will have the energy and vision to support school staff in ensuring our students are happy, confident, independent learners who are prepared for adulthood. You will be able to support pupils with special educational needs and have the commitment to excellent standards of behaviour.
The ideal candidates will:
- have experience of working with young people with special educational needs;
- be a committed team player;
- have the ability to engage pupils;
- be prepared to take part in any relevant training required before the contract starts;
- be committed to Epinay’s ethos of high expectations.
Epinay Business & Enterprise School is an outstanding special needs school currently offering around 225 places to pupils in KS1 – KS5.
