The role

We currently have opportunities to join our Cleaning team in Stansted Airport, as a Cleaner. The Cleaning team are a critical part of the operation and are key to our customers’ experience. The organisation structure allows career progression to Senior Cleaner and Supervisor roles.

  • Working to ensure we have a clean Terminal and that our customers always receive an excellent customer experience, 24/7, 365 days a year
  • Successful day to day delivery of cleaning and waste clearance in the allocated area of responsibility
  • Respond positively, politely and promptly to all customers and carry out duties in a professional and courteous manner.
  • To ensure COSHH and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and any incidents are reported in line with procedures.
  • Be responsible for providing support to all areas within the wider Cleaning team such as (but not restricted to) roadside and airside litter picking, waste away functions, plant and engineering facilities and office cleaning
  • Ensure timely fault reporting of any broken equipment

What will make you successful in the role?

We are looking for team players with an enthusiastic approach, can-do attitude, and a working knowledge of cleaning chemicals and disposal methods. You will have previous cleaning experience gained in a similar commercial environment such as, hospitals, hotels, shopping centres, train stations etc. Other skills required include:

  • Able to repetitively walk, bend, push, pull and lift during working hours
  • Previous cleaning experience in commercial/industrial or large volume environment (Required)
  • Confidence to handle heavy equipment and machinery used in cleaning such as using electronically powered scrubbing / polishing / vacuuming machines
  • Ability to work in a team and on your own
  • Basic level of English required to understand safety instructions and to speak with customers (Required)
  • Full Manual UK driving licence (for 1 position)
